Hello book community,
Today I’m reviewing T. Kingfisher’s Daggerbound. I have to be honest, I did not realize that this was not a standalone novel. Daggerbound is the second book in the Swordheart trilogy. And because I love anything Kingfisher writes I will be grabbing a copy of Swordheart stat. Now, if you are like me and read the books out of order, not to worry I think it shouldn’t spoil things too much as Daggerbound focuses on Edmund and the Dervish.
Now, let’s get to my review. What I love about Kingfisher is how much humor she infuses in her novels. It’s so much fun when I’m reading a fast paced almost love story and then the characters say something hilarious and it leaves me giddy and wanting to get more chapters in, even though it’s wayyyy past my bedtime.
I loved it all, the story (fast-paced), the characters (all of them are incredible), the romance (swoon), it all warmed my heart and I was cheering Edmund and the Dervish on the entire time.
