Today I’m reviewing Sabaa Tahir’s Heir, so let’s get to it.
It took a little while for me to get into the book. It started off a bit slower than I expected, but once I was about a quarter way through the novel I could not put the book down. Tahir’s latest fantasy is a story that takes place twenty years after her last series An Ember in the Ashes. With new characters, new threats and magic, readers will be enthralled and love the new characters she introduces (especially Quil and Sirsha). There are a few plot twists and time differences (where a POV is actually taking place in the past before everything syncs together). I loved the action, the romance, and the folklore Tahir threads in this latest story that fans of her previous works will enjoy.
With an ending that will leave you gasping, readers will definitely want to know how this story ends, preferably with Sirsha and Quil together.
