Fake engagement, a sister charged with murder, a stubbornly feminist main character, and a charming Duke, get ready to be transported back to Victorian London, and fall head over heals with Poppy Delamare and Joshua Fielding.
Dear readers, fake dating/engagement is one of my absolute FAVORITE romance trope! And when done well, like Manda Collins’ did in A Spinster’s Guide to Danger and Dukes, I say ‘TAKE MY MONEY, I want your book.’🤣
From start to finish, readers will be steeped in a warmth of pleasure, experiencing the tug and pull as these two characters become completely besotted with each other.
The questions is, will headstrong and independent Poppy Delamare entertain the idea of being a duchess?
