Book Review: Wild Reverence

Today I’m reviewing Wild Reverence by Rebecca Ross. A prequel to the Divine Rivals duology, this romance-fantasy is the coming-of-age story of a young goddess whose life is intertwined with a mortal noble.

Convinced yet?
I do want to point out the obvious: there’s a lot of mixed feelings about Ruthless Vows, the second novel in the Divine Rivals duology. I actually haven’t finished it yet, as it’s a rather slow read, but I wouldn’t base hesitancy in reading Wild Reverence on any negative experiences readers may have had with Ruthless Vows.
Wild Reverence is notable similarly to Divine Rivals. It takes the mythological story behind the divine typewriters and creates its own epic love story. Showcasing the lengths beings (mortal or divine) will go to, in this case Matilda, for the ones they love. The book is fast paced, brimming with action, beautifully written, and readers will be longing for more scenes between Vincent and Matilda (I know I did) as you race towards the very last page.
One of my favorites by Ross so far.
