Convinced yet?
First, I LOVED First Time Caller, the first book in the Heartstrings series. Lucie and Aiden live rent free in my long term memory, and Jackson and Delilah can share some space there too.
As a parent, it’s always refreshing when an author takes the time to write about all the intricate facets of parenthood, even more so, when they write about being a single parent. And in Jackson’s case, he’s raising his teenage twin sisters, trying his very best to be the support network and parent his siblings need due to their absent mother. Delilah is all to familiar with an absent mother, being adopted and raised by her grandfather, readers will see, as the story progresses, how Delilah can help the twins process the grief of an absent parent, while appreciating the person who shows up, every time.
Another reason why readers will enjoy And Now, Back to You are all the fun tropes Borison uses from one bed, opposites attract, enemies-to-lovers, and a few more you’ll have to discover to enjoy for yourself.
Even though Delilah is her own worst enemy (there a number of scenes where you want to wrap her up in a warm hug and tell her it’s going to be okay) and Jackson tends to spiral when nervous or put on the spot, these two opposites find a is way to make it work, while accepting their flaws and faults, making each other feel loved and seen.
